Circumcision is a painful procedure that removes the foreskin from a boy's penis. There IS NOT ANY medical reason for a healthy newborn boy to have this done. It is unnecessary and in most cultures, is absolutely horrid. The part that they cut off is the most sensitive part of the penis, and produces a natural lubicant that will be very helpful and beneficial someday when he is married :).
It is your sons body. Let him make the choice someday. As an adult, they put you under during a circumcision, and there is NO pain involved. But, if you get him circumsized as a newborn, and he someday realizes he would have wanted that foreskin, he can NEVER get it back.
Why put a newborn baby through that unnescessary pain??

A circumsicion is when they make a small cut in the fore skin of the penis. It helps to have the little guy not get urinary tract infections, and latter in life it helps him when he is sexually active. If he is not circumsized, he could get infection and spread the infection to his partner.
These days there are many peole who say not to do it, it is elective. There are more risks to not having it done that to having it done. And it is best to have it done before you leave the hospital afterbirth.
I am adopting a little guy who was not, is three months now, and has to wait until he is a year because the judge waited to long to allow us to do it. If you do not do it right away the little guy needs to be put under anastesia (sp?) and they will not do that until he is a year old unless absolutely necessary!

It is removal of the skin covering the tip of the penis. Back in bible times men would do this to themselves as a show of their commitment to God. Getting circumcised dose not help later in life with sex. It is said to be better with it on. Yes if you leave it on you have a chance of the child getting infections but as long as there taught to pull the skin back (doesn't go back for several years after baby is born so don't force it) and clean it there is no reason to have it done. Some have it done for religious reasons but if your Christian then it does say in the bible that there is no more reason for it to be done (in one of the letters that Paul wrote.) If you do chose to do it you will be instructed on how to take care of the wound. It does hurt the baby so ask how they help that.

Ok here's is what happens in a circumcision: the head of a male's penis has an extra flap of skin over the head when he is born. The reason that doctors reccomend removing this flap of skin is to reduce the chance of infections.( this flap of skin can trap germs and bacteria) circumcision is very very common. But the choice is yours either you do this or you don't..i am 40 weeks pregnant and if i have a boy i will most definately have him circumcised. well good luck with the rest of ur pregnancy!!

that is when the extra skin at the end of a males penis is cut off. it is a healthy thing to do for a boy because bacteria can grow in the folds of the skin when the boy starts washing himself if he does not do a good enough job

boys are born with skin over the head of their penis circumcision is the removal of this skin. my opinion is to have him circumcised because if not when the penis is not cleaned properly it causes bacteria to build up and can

its extra skin around the penis... a lot of people are "anti-circumcision" .. if your boy isnt circumsised, just clean his foreskin extra clean and cared for to prevent bacteria build-up resulting in infection. all in all, it makes their penis look bigger when they are older, to me, it looks more "normal"...
