Astronomy Senior Project ideas ..looking for extra ideas?

Question

I have to do a senior project in astronomy .. i chose ' starting right in astronomy '

I need to present how i would teach.
i know what it's going to be on ..
for example i plan to include
-- getting to know the constellations and using a starmap
-- teaching how to find deep sky objects ..one way is starhopping
--becoming a better observer
i need to have it written plus making a video ( being the oral report ) .

i want to make a video of showing the types of telescopes realllyy easy.

essay is on .. how i think telescope dealers should sell bigger telescopes to beginers rather than the cheap crappy smaller ' beginner' scopes . because they get dismayed by the not so close view and give up ..let them try a better scope.
and i need to debate it in front of the council.

what i would like is to collect any cool ideas from others .. like interesting ways of doing it, what can i add if i were to teach you ? what would you like to know about begining ?

if i were to teach you how to start out
in astronomy what would you like to know or ways you would like to be taught about starting out right in astronomy.
anything would be appreciated...

There is a program that Girl Scout Totem Council in Seattle Washington has put on, called Massive Sky. Girls from across the United States came for this "Wider Opportunity". I bet if you asked they would share some of their material with you. The program included the group building a reflecting telescope among a lot of other things about space and aeronautics.
