Why don't you do something on the death of terrestrial radio?

How with Bill Clinton's signature on the Telecommunications Act of 1996, radio as we know it began to die a slow, agonizing death. How deregulation allowed for multiple ownership of clusters of radio stations in as many markets as a corporation could afford....ie. Clear Channel, Infinity (CBS), Cox and those in-bred idiots at Cumulus and Lieberman.

Multiple ownership has homogenized radio. TIt's cheapoer that way. The Mix station you hear in Tulsa will be the same Mix station you hear in Seattle. All the locality and creativity has been destroyed and replaced by voice tracking and syndicated programming. SO many extrenely talented radio people are out of work. The ones that gave local radio it's personality and creativity only to be replaced by drones who are paid 11 bucks an hour to touch a computer screen to play Lifehouse and Nickelback every 20 minutes and read liner cards.

AM radio will soon become a place for religious and ethnic programming. and FM will soon become the exact replica of what happened to AM when FM took over. FM will soon be home to what's left news and talk and sports programming.

Music radio? Thing of the past. Burnable CD, IPODS, Pay per listen satellite and Internet Radio will replace FM music stations.

All a big damn tragedy.

But I'm not bitter!!
