people are lost & searching..what will it take to finally get back to the BASICS? what does that mean to you?

with the wars, the health care situation, economy, hatred, bordem, tv/video games, people need to find themselves and happiness...any ideas on how people as a whole can achieve this?? kids are looking up to us for answers..can we provide ANY?????

to me basics is living only with the necessities of life and none of the wants or extras.

For the most part I'd recommend a reality check and a move away from the neverending comedy. Everyone's constantly either looking for a shortcut or fighting their way to the top, in a process that is cold and cruel, they lie and backstab and think nothing of it, failing to realize such things come at a price, one which most of us can not afford to pay.
We give them the answers, we hand them the tools, but they don't listen, instead we waste our breath as they argue with us over trifling matters, missing the point.
Beyond our guidance, they have to figure it out themselves, until such time they are ready to take a clue. Having an open mind helps, but insanity does not. Selling pieces of our soul is what happens when we lie or do something wrong, and satan loves nothing more but that's what causes the insanity, that is the price we pay, the more wrong we do, the more it affects our spirit, and in the whole of things it is spirit, mind, and body that must work together in harmony and when this harmony does not exist, we can not achieve happines.

Be straight, act straight, walk and talk straight up and be upfront and don't always be trying to take a shortcut or getting slick with someone else. Accept your mistakes, oh hell, I'm wasting my breath again.

In my case, a healthy diet and plenty of continuous and strenuous physical exercise helps me clear my mind of the bugs, stay off the boob tube and don't believe the hype.

And yes, the rest can fend it out amongst themselves.

I sadly don't think we can get back to basics, the main reason I feel this way is, people won't slow down any more, and when the children are out of the car, away from the TV,games, and activities such as everything they are in now and home they don't know what to do. My Grandmother passed away in 1984 but until then every Sunday she had dinner, the Fried Chicken kind and pies, do you know any one who does that now?

i some how disagree with the question. it's somehow untruth. not everyone is lost and searching some people are lost and searching. we are all born empty handed. no one was born with a diamond in their hand. and the world is a place of search. we search and with determinations we find the things that we want, things that makes us happy. this is what we call dreams. we all hve dreams but there are people with no dreams and people who lack determinations, these are the people that are the people that are lost. they dont noe what they want, so they dont fight for it. we are all searching for a better life which will provide the basic human needs.

Yes, absolutely. By getting back to spirituality, back to God. I don't mean back to religion. Those are organizations that try to control and manipulate people through all their rules and guilt. The true, loving God can be found inside each of us and in nature.

Study Kungfu, Tai Chi, QiGong. Study the Chinese arts and philosophy. They will teach you how to find and develop your inner strength; to deny the negativity and darkness that bombard us every day.

well when you hit rock bottom you have to begin climbing again. or when you finnaly see the light at the end of the tunnel. or even when you've fallen, once your fine and get back onto your feet you can begin your journey again.
