I read a long time ago about this old wife remedies that they used to give to young women before they got married just in case they have had sex before the new husband wouldn't noticed, it was some kind of herb or salt that was poured in the bath water and they made the young lady sit on it for a while cause it makes the pelvic muscles and the vagina contract and make it tight not really tight but it will give some tension and it will give the impresion of virginity but not in a dramatic kind of way, doea anyone remembers the name of the herb? or the name of the procedure? I really need to know

Wouldn't it be easier to just tell your (future?) spouse the truth?

Do a google search on kegel exercises. It'll give you an idea on the exercises that you can do to "tighten up" the muscles down there.

Go to your local library and look up old wives' tales. I visit the library often, and I noticed there were some books along this line not too long ago.

And I think the stuff is called alum.

It's a complete myth. There is no truth to it -- that's why it's called an "old wives' tale."
Like someone else said, do Kegels -- you can find out how on line. This increases vaginal tone. And you can learn to squeeze during intercourse so your vagina will feel tighter.

I believe what you are looking for is Alumn or Alummin I can
't remember how to spell it. It is what we use in canning and drying meet or shrinking fabric. But I think that is what you are looking for.
