There is nothing in the Constitution that says otherwise, and no authority given to anyone to preclude the possibility. It would not render either ineligible to serve.

I have no legal background on this question so I'm just rationalizing, but isn't the point of having such a clear second in command so there will be someone to take over if the president is assassinated? Doesn't the Secret Service try to separate the president and vice president as much as possible, just in case something bad happens to one of them? It would be a very difficult marriage, if the Secret Service were always pulling you apart. Since our country was founded by men so long ago, though, I'm not sure if it ever would have been an official rule, since it probably wasn't anywhere in the founding fathers' imaginations that women would ever hold a position of such power.

Well, it depends what kind of president you're talking about. Fidel Castro calls himself a president, eh.

I'll assume your talking about the ones south of the border. The US people call their country the land of the free, so I guess their wouldn't be any legal trouble, but their will probably be political turmoil. In politics, their will always be people for and against, so naturally you would hear about people protesting the holy union in question.
