you leave out one important point. Year and Mileage. The weight of motor oil depends on the year. Most late model fords take 5 w 30 it should tell you right on the oil cap and in the owners manual. Any major brand will do. Just make sure you change it often and the use a quality filter. The less expensive filters can cause more harm then good.

The best way to know is to check your owners manual. Ford will have a recommended oil weight to use in your truck. Most of the newer Fords are using 5W20.

Ford will want to convince you to use their brand, Motorcraft but you can use any brand that meets the warranty requirements and the API standards. Most all major brands are now making a 5W20 product and there will be a "starburst" label on each bottle indicating what specifications the oil meets. So there are the national brands with the huge advertising campaigns, the regional brands and then there is Ford Motorcraft. Personally I would stick with the Ford or Mobil brand but thats just me.

Should tell you on the oil cap. The main thing is to change it every 3000 miles along with the filter.

Look in the owner's manual. I recall it is 5W-30. Use synthetic oil, it does make a difference.
