No, it's still Easter. I haven't heard "Spring Holiday" any place except for a couple of questions here on Yahoo Answers. Schools might take a spring break rather than an Easter Vacation, but it's been called spring break for years, especially since Easter changes weekends every year, so it's never on a school schedule.

Not here. Schools take Spring Break in early March, a month before Easter. And Easter is Easter. Nothing's changed.

Where I work, we get Good Friday as a paid holiday and yes, they call it the spring holiday. No mention of Easter.

Are Christmas (Christ's Mass) Holidays called "Summer Holidays" in your part of the World?
QED! It follows that Easter Holidays (Holy Days) will be spring holidays.
(Incidentally when everyone gets over to phonetic spelling will anyone ever notice that "holiedais" ever had anything to do with "Holy"?. What about Krismas and eista?)

In Maryland, as far back as when I was in school, it has always been called the Spring holiday or Spring break....to keep religion out of schools. Odd when you think most schools have Christmas programs.

What difference does it make what you call it, or what particular day you rejoice on? i've got faith that that's extra ideal to look on the which ability of the holiday. Being with companion and little ones. no longer in spite of if or no longer Christ grew to become into born on that day or no longer. The mere clarification for the Christian holiday journeys being so close to to pagan ones grew to become into so as that it made it extra handy to transform the pagans to Christianity. yet those days are long long previous. Why no longer provide those holiday journeys new which ability, and experience them for what they're. Christmas - time to reunite with kinfolk we don't see the the remainder of the 365 days and seize up Easter - taking time with our little ones to make classic easter crafts and assisting them study approximately hues and shapes. Valentines Day - an afternoon to coach love/appreciation to our kinfolk, friends, co-workers Halloween - A time to gown up in our accepted costumes and purely have undeniable exciting recover from this "Christian holiday journeys are Pagan" tripe...that's getting uninteresting

I call it Easter because it's named after the ancient goddess, Eostar, Lady of Rebirth, Life from Death, the New Dawn, and Hope Renewed.

It is now called that in the public schools of Georgia. They get a 1 wk spring break and forget about Good Friday which is the day Christ died.

The first Easter was celebrated in 2400 BCE, if only we could find out what they called it.
