I'm afraid that I lead a friend on to believing I wanted to have a relationship with her (which I don't). I think I really hurt her feelings, and I don't know what to do.

No matter what you say or do now she isn't going to forgive you, this is your fault and yours alone, you are going to lose her as a friend, I don't care if you say your sorry or not she might in your face say that she forgives you, but inside she won't. Understand dude that you just can not play with other peoples emotions. There is an old saying; "You can make a friend a love, but you can't make a lover a friend." This is bad style don't do it again in the future.

There is one possible way, take her out a few time and then tell her that it is better to keep her as a friend as that the two of you are really going in other directions. Don't be mean let her down easy. She might still talk to you after but she won't ever be your friend again,......she will just be another girl that you know

Talk to her maybe. Tell her that you didn't mean to give the the wrong impression, lead her on, etc., apologize..

Tell her "its not you its me" if things were different for you right now, you would be interested in her.
