Somebody stole something from me at school, what kind of trouble could they get into if I cannot get my item back.
Just yelled at? Expelled? Sued (haha)? What?

Yes, I have proof and people who know who took it, watched that person took it. :/

You need to call the police agency that covers the area where the school is located, either county or city, and file a theft report. If you tell the detective the name of the person that you believe stole the item, they will question that person.

If there is enough proof, the police will arrest that person and they will have to go to Court. If they are found to have committed the theft, they could be ordered to pay you restitution.

First do you have proof of who it is? If so, they will probably be expelled or suspended.

'Somebody' doesn't count. Unless you have proof, then everybody is innocent.
