162 x 30 divided by two(two teams one game) 2,430 major league games
+1 game All-Star game
+30 playoff games
= 2,461 games for a complete season(opening day to the World Series) 2006 stats

I think you would take 1/2 of 30 and times it by 162. You shouldn't be able to multiply all 30 teams by 162 because there are two teams playing one game. As far as playoff games it is dependant upon how each team does in the five and seven game series. In the five game series it could be as few as three. In the seven game series it could be as few as four. There may also be a one game playoff deciding the division winner if two teams are tied.

If you mean how many games are played by every team in the AL and NL combined then you answer is 4860 games. there are 14 teams in the AL 14 times 162 = 2268 games
there are 16 teams in the NL 16 times 162 = 2592 games
now add those two numbers together and you get 4860 total games. I hope that is the answer you are lookink for.

It would be close to 2,430. Each team plays 162 games. They're 30 teams in the ML. 14 in the Al, 16 in the NL. SO, 162 x 15 (teams have to play another team, so this reduced the count in half) = 2,430.
