My dermatologist helped me alot when I was plagued w/ acne and found I could limit it to moderately normal for that puberty age by NOT using a wash cloth, and using cold water only on your face as the pores will open up with hot water and then the soap(mild soap)would aggravate the pores and cause them to pump more oils. If you use mild soap w/ just your hands and cold water. it's a great way to keep things under control. Also, if you do take a hot shower, always turn on the cold just before you get out to close up all your [pores...the towel can also cpointaminate a persons sensitive skin when his pores are open.

For me, the easiest way is to pull back all hair from my face, using a clip and bobby pins or a shower cap, and then splashing my face with warm water. Then, I squirt my face wash (about the size of a nickel) into the palm of one of my hands, cover both palms with it, and massage it into my face. I leave it on until it's done tingling and just feels CLEAN. Then, I spend about a half a minute to a minute washing the soap off.

I use Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Scrub with energizing microbeads, and my skin is much clearer. It used to be so covered with zits, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples, but now, it's perfectly clear.

La Roche Posay is excellent! Use warm water, a little skin cleanser and lather. Rinse with cool water. Use a toner and then a face cream.

I don't scrub and use warm to cool water. If I feel that my face still has makeup on it, I pass a wet cotton pad gently while my soap is still lathered on my face and then rinse.
