What are some of your favorite childhood memories?

And what do you associate with your childhood (eg. specific action figures, certain tv shows, certain playground games, fads, etc.)

All of them! I remember playing croquet and badminton with my family. Catching fireflies on a summer evening. Playing in the sprinkler. Going sledding and making snowmen. My oldest sister playing the piano and my siblings and I would gather around and sing, especially at Christmas. (I come from a large family!) Making ice cream in a ice cream freezer on a hot summer night, then sitting on the front porch eating it. Playing "cornfield hide-and-seek", "Ghosts in the Graveyard", "Red Rover", "Kick the Can" with all the neighborhood kids. There was a vacant lot right across the street from me and all of the kids would gather there to play. Going to the lake on weekends and swimming until we were so sunburned we could hardly move. Man, I wish I could go back to those days. They were the best.

running downstairs with my little brother every morning (when my mother left the house to drop an older brother off to school)
to watch Barney while we were supposed to be sleeping.
i remember my old house, and climbing the monkey bars on the play scape.
i remember playing around with those noodles (for pools) with the maid we used to have, hitting each other and then laughing.
