There are better big men I suppose in the NCAA tournament, but I did hear a commentator say the other day that he was one of the best and most skilled big men in the country. And I heard Digger Phelps (former Notre Dame coach and now a commentator) say that if KY could and would get the ball inside to Morris then they would win. Also heard Clark Kellogg say that, "As Morris goes, so goes Kentucky." That's all I know that I've heard. In my layman's opinion, he is a good, skilled big man, but a little lazy and prone to foul problems. Hope that helps you some. He did have some very decent stats at Kentucky this year and all SEC coaches doubled up on defense against him. But are you sure he signed with the Knicks; just yesterday in an interview he insinuated that he might be coming back to Kentucky for his Senior year, but I suppose since Tubby Smith was forced to resign that that might not be an option anymore.

yes morris is very athletic and has a lot of potential, although he entered the draft last year and did not get drafted because he had no agent. This year at Kentucky he averaged 16.9 ppg 7.8 rpg 1.1 apg 2.1 bpg and 59.2% field goal percentage. Those are solid numbers for a guy who was not drafted last year and who was signed to a 2 year 1.6 million dollar deal by the New York Knicks. He also earned First Team All-SEC honors in leading the Wildcats to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

If someone would light a fire under his butt he would be a great PF in the NBA. Another year of college ball would have really helped his game. He will probably just be a benchwarmer for the Knicks for the first year at least.

The analysts and scouts are drooling over his potential. He has alot of skills but he oftentimes gets complacent and lacks passion in his game.

If Tubby Smith, one of the most passionate coaches in the NCAA, couldn't instill that fire into him, I have no clue how Isiah Thomas will.

But, if he can get his head and heart into the game, he could very well be one of the dominant big men in the NBA.
