just call your county court house and ask where to apply for child support. they will point you in the direction you need to go and walk you through it.

IF YOU MEAN TO COLLECT WHAT IS OWED/ARREARS:
your caseworker (or dept) is supposed to handle all of that. if they are not applying laws to your case, then contact your states Attorney General and your states Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office (in writing ONLY).

Most likely there will be no need for yourself to pay any fees. By going through your state's agency that deals with child support, child support will be taken out of the non-custodial parents pay checks. Should they refuse to comply with the terms your state puts forth, they can be put in jail. As well your state agency will handle the fees by charging those fees to the non-custodial parent.

You dont have to pay to file the petition to collect child support. It helps to have an attorney, but for the most part, you can actually do it yourself.
