Did no one else catch the sarcasm in this question?
And for the record, I agree. If Kobe could bail on some possessions by throwing the ball towards the rim for a Marion or Stoudamire, his assist total would go up.
Not to say Nash isn't good. He is the driving force behind his offense, but having two other anchors like Amare and Marion certainly helps a lot.

WHY DROP 50? maybe because the rest of your team is only capable of dropping 12 (with the exception of Lamar Odom). In case you havent noticed, Kobe is pretty sick with passing also, but why pass to someone who'll just give the ball to the other team? When Kobe is "generous," they lose, when he takes over games the Lakers win. He doesn't have the benefit of having Shaq around to pull the rest of the team up, so things get a little harder. And how can you say that footwork, speed and athleticism aren't necessary? Forgive me if I don't rush to buy tickets to the next obese midget open run, but I'd rather see the Vince Carters, Kobes, D Wades, and Lebrons over Nash and the leprechaun circus any day. Plus, two MVP seasons on a loaded team and no rings? Looks like running down the court and passing to all stars is coming up short somewhere

Nash is definitely a better teammate than Kobe and he makes so much happen for his teammates. Even though he doesn't drop 30+ a night like Kobe, if you combine his points per game and his assists per game (each assist worth 2 points to give Kobe the benefit of the doubt), he contributes to 51 of his teams points per game. Kobe contributes about 40 per game if you add his assists and points. Also, Nash should be the MVP again this year. MVP stands for Most Valuable Player, not the player with the best numbers. Without Nash, where would Phoenix be? He is the sparkplug that starts up Phoenix night in and night out. And his team is winning (so don't try and say Kobe should be MVP).

Nash is a great player, but seriously, is passing the ball that great? So he can get pass the ball in fancy ways. I admit that he's a pretty good 3-pointer, but they need to learn not to rely on him just because he is a 2-time MVP.
As for Dirk, I don't feel he deserves it either. I haven't seen Dirk out for one game. I would like to see how his team will fair against others without him.
And if I recall, didn't Kobe has his 3rd highest game against the Mavericks last year? So if you're going to say that Kobe only scores 50+ on teams that are not play off worthy, take some time to research.

nash is completely overrated..no way in hell should he have won 2 mvps in a row(or any mvps for that matter).. any decent pass first point guard can do what he's doing in phoenix with the system and players they have.. he is just a very lucky player who happened to land on a team that is a PERFECT FIT for him to shine, plus his defense isnt all that either. besides if nash is such a great player, why didnt we see this in dallas?
kobe is a much better player, he's taller, stronger, more athletic, good shooter(inside and out), very underrated passer (because unlike nash, he has no one to pass to), and has much much much better defense than nash. [and for everyone that uses the argument 'kobe hasnt won a ring since shaq left' ..you think shaq would've won a ring without dwade?? ya right.. and for that matter, kobe has 3 rings while nash has none]

Steve Nash is overrated, john stockton never won the mvp and for good reason. Check their career stats and they're very similar. I think Dirk deserves the MVP for being the best player on the best team.

lol all i gotta say is back to back mvp and more than likely back to back to back unless dirk gets it because everyone feels bad for him and doesnt want nash to get it 3 times in a row. And nash isn't a "dirty" player lol
