I bought Titan Quest a few days ago, and (stupidly) didn't check the system requirements. When I tried to install it, I got a warning that said I was below system requirements for running the program, and did I want to continue? I said no, but wondered what effect I would experience if I did install it anyway.

It would either not load, lock up or crash your system,.If it did load and you played a while, then exiting the game would take a while for all Windows resources and desktop to restore themselves to being active in RAM. The game will take up all the RAM and even use the HD as virtual RAM so it will be very slow shifting resources back to computer desktop use.

RAM is a pretty big thing in PC gaming, if your PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements then chances are good the game is going to run appalling.

The game would not run or work properly. It would probably look "choppy". Or it would just not start up at all. I had the same problem with War Craft III a few years ago.

your system would freeze up.maybe crash but it should be fine after restart. If you are only a small amount under the requirements the only thing you may experience is an annoying little bubble that says "you are low on virtual memory"...good luck
