to wait for my husband to put gas in the car instead of stopping & pumping it myself? (IF I notice it needs it!)

I like your "basis" Ironhand! I have been married for 13 years & it IS negotiations!

It depends; is he housebroke? (I didn't say henpecked, I said house broke).

There are 5 points for a housebroke husband.

1) He ALWAYS puts the seat down when he is done.
2) He ALWAYS wipes his feet before he comes in.
3) He NEVER drinks from the carton.
4) He ALWAYS brings the paycheck home.
5) He ALWAYS gives her the last word. EXCEPT--
"Yes Dear".

But the concomitant side of that is --

1) She ALWAYS gives him the remote
2) She NEVER asks him "does this make my butt look big?"
3) She NEVER nags him (about ANYTHING)
4) When he says "there is nothing wrong", she accepts that there is probably nothing wrong.
5) She lets him drive the car at least once in a while without having to put fuel in it!

Good basis for keeping both relatively happy for more than the mere 3 or so years marriages last these days.

By the way, these are principles, not absolute precepts.

Well, if he gets annoyed, then I would have to say yes. If he likes being the one to do the 'guy' stuff, then whatever works for your marriage!

No It's not wrong.
Let him run out of gas.
And while your at it. let the oil light come on too. you don't need oil in your car.
