It is a suspense/thriller/murder mystery and the plot centers around this dream sequence with big eyes and scissors. I think most of the action takes place at some sort of a ski lodge. I'm pretty sure it's not a Hitchcock but it may contain actors who have worked with him.

So far looking at the answers:
I'm positive it's not Vertigo or Man who knew too Much. Like I said I'm pretty sure it's not a Hitchcock but definitely same era.

It's definitely not Hitchcock. I want to say it sounds like 'The Crawling Eye' 1958. Directed by Quentin Lawrence. Also titled as 'The Trollenberg Terror'. The movie is literally about crawling eyes, and happens up on some remote Switzerland ski lodge resort. The main female character has these dream like ESP moments that sound familiar to what you are writing, but I don't recall scissors. It was a favorite of my mother's, hence how I know. Here is the link to the IMDb.com with info on the movie also. Hope this helps you out, if not I can keep looking.

I'm sure ! Is an A. Hitchcock movie :Spellbound (1945)

Alfred Hitchcock takes on Sigmund Freud in this thriller in which psychologist Ingrid Bergman tries to solve a murder by unlocking the clues hidden in the mind of amnesiac suspect Gregory Peck. Among the highlights is a bizarre dream sequence seemingly designed by Salvador Dali--complete with huge eyeballs and pointy scissors. Although the film is in black and white, the original release contained one subliminal blood-red frame, appearing when a gun pointed directly at the camera goes off. Spellbound is one of Hitchcock's strangest and most atmospheric films, providing the director with plenty of opportunities to explore what he called "pure cinema".

I think it's called...

The Man Who Knew Too Much

I remember watching some old black and white movie too and it took place in a ski lodge. Kinda weird.

Yeah, I just checked. Except that is Hitchcock, so yeah. Just look at this link:

For some reason I remember watching this movie and I had no idea what was going on because they kept showing a bunch of scissors.

There is a suspense movie which is partially in black and white and has a focus on scissors called "Dead Again," but I don't know if that is the one you are talking about. It could be something else. Maybe you can find out at imdb.com
