Length of time probably depends on if you have done anything like this before or not.

This link looks pretty good. Of course, you can change the flowers & details to make it more like what you have in mind. If you plan on using fresh flowers try a test run w/silk flowers first.

do you plan on making one yourself? it's usually made up of some flower (usually orchids), some greens (leaves or whatever, to add color and texture) and a ribbon (to tie around the wrist). you could order, though, one or two days before you'll actually need it.
