Maybe some terrorist group is making a statement by poisoning pet food, that it could just as easily be human food next time. I think a criminal investigation should be done.
Just because it was just pets that died doesnt mean it isn't a
criminal act.

This was a Canadian company which removes it somewhat but not entirely from terrorism. No one is exempt from the terrorists tho. This reminds me of the tainted produce a few months back in California. Could be a disgruntled worker or someone seeking 15 seconds of fame. Or testing for our response. With the California cases they tracked it back to the field the tainted produce was from. That says something for all the regulation.

In my opinion, to import Chinese wheat and put it into Pet Food is sheer stupidity, in a country that grows so much wheat it doesn't know what to do with all of it.
Not even the terrorists are as stupid as that.

No, more like a case of greed by Chinese businesses who probably sold tainted gluten to the US and the processing plant was probably too lazy or too stupid to test every batch before they canned them.
Not unusual, some greedy Chinese assholes also sold fake baby formula to their own countrymen. Killed some infants and made many of them retarded and disabled.

don't be stupid

ok, spell my name right for one.

and for two, why would the terrorist attack pet food? what would they gain? i could see if it was a large scale attack, such as every brand of all types of pet food being poisoned, I agree it should be looked into, but i think you can put the terrorist idea to rest.

True.

It could have been a dry run to see if they could spread poison in the food supply system.
