whats the best way to position the anntennas on a linksys WRT54GR wireless router? I live in a 2nd floor house with concrete walls.

Well, if you do not have enough coverage, and with concrete you may not, get some higher gain antennas. The position Up, down, sideways, etc is a matter of experimentation but in any position the LOCATION is what matters.
If the antennas are shielded by walls, etc. try relocating them to a more open area. If you still can't cover the entire house, try getting a "repeater" which you will place somewhere with good receiption and then send to the areas not covered.
