If the keys can't go down because there's stuff under them you can turn it upside-down and shake the junk out, you can use a small brush while it's upside down to get the tougher to get pieces (make sure the laptop is off first).

Otherwise if the keys press down but don't type and if you can open it up without breaking it you can try cleaning off the board under the keys, but don't use any liquids, use your fingers, a pencil eraser, or in bad cases a dry toothbrush and make sure that afterward you remove any residue with a dry cloth because finger oil and eraser leavings can slowly cause damage over time.

If the keys are pressed down and won't come up you can try replacing the springs under those keys.

If none of this works you will need to either get the keyboard repaired professionally which can be expensive for laptops, or you can use an external keyboard, which kind of defeats the purpose of using a laptop computer.

well sometimes just pulling the keys off and giving it a clean will help, you could also try pulling the keyboard completely apart and then putting it back together again, making sure that the sheets under the keys are aligned correctly

Replace it. The last time I bought a new keyboard, it cost five bucks. A serviceman can't even take the back off for five dollars.

Hi. Sometimes gunk gets into the key mechanism. Gently pry off the key and clean the gunk out with 90% alcohol. Otherwise, see answer 1.

Buy a new one. They aren't expensive and most have a membrane behind the keyboard that can't be repaired.
