danny briere from the sabres! i think hes such a great all around player. he's got tons of assists (58 he leads the team) and lots of goals (31 as of the game vs. the leafs last nite) i also think hes underated because he's so small but hes amazing. he's a clutch player, always making important plays and goals. plus he's like the heart of the team along with drury.

I feel your pain. Shane Doan is an awesome player. I wonder how well Mats Sundin (my favorite player) would have done on a better team, but he's managed to break all kinds of Leafs records and then some. It would be sweet to see Shane go to the Ducks/Sabres or play with a superstar like Crosby. I'm sure he'd do a lot better.

I would say, surprising as it sounds, Bryan Berard.
To have been born and raised Rhode Island, but NOT a prep school guy at all, rather, Mt. St. Charles, and didn't have the parents with megabucks like most all of the other New England players we could name - he really proved himself for 2 seasons before the eye injury, then still came back to keep on playing.
It's a shame about him, how he failed the drug test and didn't make the Olympic team last time around - but that's a guy with a huge amount of determination and heart. More than 99% of everyone else. I hope he can put it all together, and get out of Columbus, next season.

for fairly some and obtrusive motives: Alex Ovechkin - thrilling to observe and enjoys the sport Mike Richards - i've got observed him by using junior hockey and group Canada, and love each and everything he brings to the sport, he's the final all around participant in the worldwide appropriate now while offense, protection, management and sturdiness are all factored in. Derek Boogaard - tell me yet another participant who in basic terms taking the ice brings a crowd to a frenzy the way the Boogey-guy does? Carey cost - celebrity, champion at each and every point for that reason some distance, colors and provides you of being the subsequent great action picture star goalie in Montreal as they seem to produce each and every era from Hainsworth and Vezina to Durnan, to Plante, to Gump, to Dryden, to Roy.

Favorite of all time is Steve Yzerman. He was a team player, a leader, a gentleman, and an overall asset to the game of hockey. Bobby Orr ranks a close second. Gretzky 3rd.
These 3 are really great.

Mr. Hockey: Gordie Howe. No goal scorers are willing to drop the gloves anymore like Howe and Rocket Richard did.

Of present time I would have to say either Sidney Crosby or Malkin, but in the 90's I would defiantely say Mario Lemieux

Of all time is tied between Ron Francis and Mario Lemieux. Currently it's Sidney Crosby and Maxime Talbot.
