I have wondered this for a while, and now I really need to find this out. I have 4 Usb ports on my PC, two of which are in the back, the other two in the front. I am pretty sure that the front two are disabled. Any device I plug into either of the front ports gets no response at all from the device nor the PC. I looked at device manager, and I look at the two ports which do not work and I see the setting for whether or not to enable its use and it is blank and I can't change the option and enable it. What do I need to do to enable these ports?

they may be disabled in bios.go into bios during start up.you may have to look around a little because every kind of computer is different..or you can simply purchase a usb hub for about $7.most of them give you at least 4 extra usp connections and
Most hubs come with a cord that is at least 2 feet long so you can hook it up to the back and run it to the front(problem solved)...good luck

Hi. Check to make sure they are actually connected. This may sound silly, but sometimes they are not.
