how to hook up two laptop?

I have two laptop can hook up by wireless by using "share fold", but I need more fast speed, so how to hook up each other by using cable? USB? or something else? because sometimes I need to transfer movies .

The best way to hook up two laptops is to lay one on top of the other and turn the lights off. Then hope for the best.
