I would have to say The Carpenters but its a close call over The Captain and Tenielle. Both Ladies can really sing. Sonny and Cher are terrific but not in the same music category as the other two.

The Carpenters; half of Sonny and Cher's time, they weren't even together, and the "Captain" wasn't really a captain. Plus, Karen's voice was heavenly.

Her voice was flawless, and he wrote great and timeless songs.
