what sort of enterprise? (its dependent)

but in any bussiness you need good negotiating skills, good people skills and fair computer skills...

waht you really need in a manufacturing /supply environemnt is to be able to estimate accurately... you get that wrong, and even with the best workforce int eh world itll go toes up... to have a prodcut requires components.. where do you source them? Ebay? lines of supply are supplying your basic coimmodity components... are they upto the job... how would you know?

we not only do a job of work, we also factor in everything, from screws needed to tonnes of steel to fabricate and men to do the job... on time and within budget.. or theyre sitting around costing me money, or working thier nuts off on overtime and costing me even more money...

and its all based on a true and accurate estimate... not to the penny, but within five pounds.. or dollars... bussiness is bussiness wherever it takes place. we manufacture a product, we sell the product and generate profits, which keeps the shareholders happy, which generates more monmey for the company so they can develop new and exciting products to sell to generate greater wealth... in a nutshell...

good luck with your dad

Well, I am a business owner - I own my own housecleaning business, and I specialize in really nasty evictions and the aftermath. I've been doing this for four years. I think I would like more practical information on taxes, that doesn't assume you can itemize. We are lower income ($24,000/yr) and a lot of the typical tax info does not apply to us, as far as what is and isn't worth saving proof of to deduct, for example donating to charity is totally useless when your standard deduction is always higher - no tax seminars ever told us that. Also, more skills in general from people who are into doing things as uncomplicated as possible. It's a lot of work to own your own business and can leak over in to your home life. Another neat topic would be to start and or collect free websites (like yahoogroups) that are active, where business owners in different cities could collaborate for the common good, as far as sharing clients and information. Oooh - and another - if small businesses could collaborate and unite for group health care, that would be wonderful. Hope thats a few more dollars for your video cam. :.)
