I am wondering if the corprations of these foods are being sued and if they are going to cover everyones vet bills, because this is a serious issue that needs to be taken care of in a responsible way. If they aren't being sued why not? and if they aren't paying for all the people who's pets got sick, why are they getting away with that? Isn't this something that would be considered murder to some people?

Yes I saw on the news they had their first lawsuit. I believe that those that can prove their dog ate the poisoned dog food will most likely get their vet bills paid along with the cost of getting a replacement animal. I do not think they will be paid for the suffering of their animal because animals are considered property by law so you can not claim pain and suffering on behalf of your property.

I thnk those of us who own pets must follow this particulary case day to day routine. By informing our selves and reading the news paper, listen to the TV news. Probably seeking advice from an attorney would not hurt. As responsible pet owners, we always hope that pet food we feed our pets, are to be safe. But now we are tested otherwise. My puddle throw up this morning. But he was only on Purina, dry food. So I will watch him, but by switching with purina, he has a terrible breath smell. I guess that comes by switchen his food. Nevertheless, only time can tell what we might need to do. In the meantime let's keep a close eye on all our loved pets. Cause they are part of our family.

I have heard that some states are planning on suing them. It was found to be rat poison so it is likely they were sabotaged by a disgruntled employee or something like that and perhaps the company did no wrong.

A lady in chicago is suing. I think she's suing for 10,000 dollars but hopes to at least get medical expenses caused by her dogs illness.
