I L.O.V.E. Godsmack! So many people can relate to their music. As well as Linkin Park. (Pardon my spelling)

I love Godsmack also because I feel he really GIVES into their music, all that he can. The guy can really belt it out. :P

I hope I made sense, great question! Have a great night!

My goodness, this is a broad question. Well, it sounds like you enjoy classic rock, so some other fantastic classic rock bands are the Rolling Stones, the Who, Queen, the Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd... Some good bands "from today" in the same-ish genre are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Our Lady Peace, Blur, Oasis, the Barenaked Ladies, Guster, etc. Check them out :)

The most influential bands both old and current have to be The Doors, The Ramones, Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots, and Nine Inch Nails.

I'm a metal fan so I'm gonna go with the obvious Metallica. Whether you like the "new" Metallica or not, they are an influence of every single metal and hard rock band today. I also like Coheed & Cambria. I think they have potential to become a sort of Pink Floyd of our era.
