Listen to this. Why would anyone want to erase their memory? even part of it? Our life's experiences make us who we are today. Ever heard of the phrase along the lines of "What doesn't break us only makes us stronger"? Without the bad how do you know that you might not have enjoyed the good also. How about cause and effect? If we did something bad or someone else did something wrong to us do we not learn, do we not grow stronger and learn to appreciate the good things more than you did before you were hurt? Forgetting even a part of what you once were could affect the rest of your life.

I wouldn't erase a thing. Yes my life, mostly in the last 4 years has been difficult, BUT, life is a learning experience. The trials and tribulations of life have molded me into who I am today. (I am a strong, determined, ambitious woman who is proud in the way I am single-handedly raising my 2 children.)
Also, if I was to erase my memory I wouln't get to remember the good that came from the bad. Kinda reminds me of my favorite quote. . . how can you have beautiful endings without making beautiful mistakes. . .

I think maybe I would erase some of the bad parts so that it would stop holding me back from pursuing things I enjoy... or just figure out what the heck it is that I enjoy. I think that my past, unfortunately, really does hold me back. It's so easy to say life is too short, or I don't hold onto the past, or there's only the future - yadi, yadi, ya - but my past still haunts me. I believe that I would be much more successful today if I could just let some things go that scare me into avoiding life's risks.

I'd only replace some parts. Most of my memories are pleasant, then there are the other ones. I would not remember the pain I put love ones through, how drugs were the most important part of my life and how I use to cheat people. I've changed but those memories still plague me at times.

NO!!! Because memory is part of me, even the worse memory. If my memory were erased, then my life would be erased as well.

I wouldn't erase a thing. Even the worst parts. If those were gone I might make the same mistakes again.

I wouldn't erase any of it, even the bad parts. My experiences are what make me am what I am today. I don't think humans would be humans without memory, it'd all be instinct like animals.
