actually it is impossible becuz no ones realese is that quick
but technically u must "tip" the ball in or the basket does not count

I have timed catch and shoot attempts at some basketball camps I have run. You are rushing your shot if you are below 0.5, and you have a slow release if you are at 0.8 or higher.
However, you may recall Derek Fisher winning a game for the Lakers a few years ago with a catch and shoot with 0.4 left.

It's impossible. By the time they have done everything required to shoot, the time will be over.

yes you can . the time start running when a player catch/touch the ball , technically you cant catch as in catch but you can tip the ball ,like volley ball

You can as long as the ball is completely out of your hands before time runs out

because by the time u catch it the time will be up so u have to toss it up and quikly tap it into the hoop befeore the time runs out.

it takes atleast .7 seconds to cach and shoot (very fast) but more then liklley your shot will get blocked, since you can't do any fakes or dribbling. all you can do is a tip.

of course... tip the ball near the basket... some1 in the nba tipped the ball with 0.1 or 0.2 seconds did it.... i think it was david lee
