just tell them y u need it like spose your in a nother town and something haben will u can get out your cell call them up tell them what happen and a lot of pelope have them now a day and if you get sprint it is bye one get one free i think
but if you do get on never ever get a track phone

As a parent, I say you cannot bribe them. You can show that you are responsible.
Be willing to pay for part of the bill. Don't ask for all the bells and whistles that cost extra (e-mail, video, etc) and make a point of telling them that you do not want that. Promise not to go over your minutes. If you do, be willing to pay for the overage.
Do they have phones? A family share plan will cost them less money then you having your own.
Tell them about the safety element of you having a phone when you are away from them and how they can used it to check on you.

give them info about cricket it has unlimited minutes free long distance and cheap plans and offer to pay for some of it or do chorus to pay off the bill our is 40.00 a month every month no hidden charges and you can talk on it 24/7
