If you're not sure what you wanna do or where exactly you want to go, start at a community college somewhere around where you live. There's no requirements, you can get a feel of what college classes are like compared to high school, and it doesn't cost as nearly as much as a university, especially since you'll probably take general classes that everyone unfortunatly has to deal with lol.

There are a ton of advisors that can help you figure out what kind of career you want, where you want to go, and what you need to get there. On average, most universities want a 3.0, a decent ACT (20+), and generally an essay. I'm currently at Michigan State University, and I had gotten in with a 2.96 and a 17 on ACT (which is pretty low), so you don't need to be a genious to get into most universities.

Basically, just talk to counselors, teachers, do some research online, and take a career decision making course; they definitly help. Hope that helped some.

Good Luck!

Getting to college- all colleges have different requirements to get in. Your best bet is to stay in state as going to an out of state school is extremely expensive. Since most in state schools require only an ACT you have to take that. There are plenty of good prep books for the ACT, buy one, read it, study it itll boost your ACT scores by a few possibly crucial points. If you still have a few years in high school left take some foreign languages and math, looks good on application and math will boost your ACT. Many colleges require two years foreign language to earn a degree anyways. Be careful about going to community colleges make sure your classes will transfer, and also beware some colleges charge credit transfer fees that can cost several hundred dollars or more. going a way to a four year is def. fun but its expensive. Finally and most importantly do your own research, google the schools you want to go too and read their prospective student pages. good luck

I am currently a high school senior as well as a first year college student. I am able to due this because of community college, and so, I strongly encourage you to do so as well. Actually taking a college class looks better than taking APs. Although I am also taking APs in high school now, the college classes are currently giving me that extra edge that makes me different from most applicants. If I were you, make a list of the colleges you want to go to, go on their websites to see what they recommend on your high school curriculum, and study for your SATs. As for paying for college, fafsa is a great idea. I've already got my award in the mail because I filed in January. I strongly suggest you do the same because statistics show that those who file earlier get more. Also, maybe try getting a part-time job. Not one that takes up your study time. Maybe tutoring? You can make better money off that than flipping burgers. Email me if you have any other questions.

That all depends on what college you're looking at. I would apply for every scholarship that you remotely qualify for. Make sure you have all your blocks in, languages, maths, science and english and literature. As far as preparing for your goals, that again all depends on what your goals are. You need to figure what you want to do and then set out a road map to get there and make sure you follow it to the turn. Best of luck!

To get into college any college you have to apply. Verry simple.. BUT know one thing... what do u want to go into.. have an idea. for exaple if u want to become a doctor dont go apply to a fashion school...LOL..

Other then that... one piece of advice... dont be pressured into doing something you dont like. If you parents want you to become a doctor dont do it because they told you to... Do something you want to do.

After you have selected what field you want to go into.. (note: its subject to change as you mature dont worry if u transfer.. as long as in the end ur happy), apply to that school ... MOST SCHOOLS HAVE website.. go on that website and reserch the applicaton process. Call the school and speak to a admisions adviser..

As for requirements.. every school has a different requirement in mind.. But in general do well in high school.. do good on sat's, write a good essay.. but most of all have a strong personality when you go for an interview.. be confident in your self that is key...

TO achieve your goals.. there is a method i like to follow its

Hard work + prayer = success...

work hard in your class and dont slack off.. but know that everything is up to god in the end.. so pray.. and ull be fine...

Paying for college.. well you first of all fill out a FAFSA.. via internet.. its a long process but its simple.. IF U CAN take out a loan.. i know it sounds big.. and wow..wat am i am doing.. but its easy.. dont worry.. take one steap at a time..

also one last thing...

RELAXXXXX its stressing.. but take it ez.. do things one thing at a time...

GOOD LUCK.. mate.

Get good grades. If you get good grades you will get scholarships. Even if you don't get scholarships, loans can help you get through college. Also, do extracurriculars because they look for well rounded students. Good Luck.
