Here's a great link with games and activities for all sorts of ages. For babies up to 3 months old there are about a dozen activities. Just click on the age, then click on the name of the activity and it will give you a supply list and direction. The supplies or materials are always things that you can find around the house.

Mobile's with music and whatnot, along with your presence is nice. A baby's vision isn't developed at 8 weeks and their body functions are limited. I'd be more concerned at 5-6 months. Baby telivision programs, walkers, toys to that effect, and music can be great once the baby's just a bit older

My nine week old loves to be massaged, talked to, rocked and read to. If they endure too much stimulation, they get cranky:) At least that's what my baby boy does...I'm a first time mommy too! I also try and give him tummy time (which he does not like at all) and I lay him on his Baby Einstein play mat (he'll usually lay there for about 15 minutes or so). I know how you feel tho, don't they seem like they are so bored??!! LOL Good luck, and Congrats!!

Lots of touching, on the belly on the feet and hands. Talk to them alot, don't baby talk that will affect their speech, (I know this from personal experience, my son had speech therapy) Use a rattler and shake it, Get a black and red and white toy, they are really good for eye development. Most important don't forget to kiss and hug.

is ok just follow ur instincts!Things like use teddy bearsand toys and use them to tickle your young ones belly! Newborns react to bright colours! It stimulates the brain! also look in baby stores and toy stores and look for toys for 0-6mos and things like that! also peek a boo is good! all the best. just use trial and error method

you pretty much feed, change, talk to him, cuddle, sing, put him in a sling if you want, just love on him and cuddle him right now. and its never too early to start reading to them
you dont sound bad.

But a blanket between you and him/her and them pull it away and make a funny happy face and sound (funny not scary). Look pleased and surprised.
