Good equipment can make a world of difference in how you sound. You should practise in a room with good acoustics with no electronic devices to improve your singing voice once you master that, enhance it with the equipment you'll sound fabulous.

things u need:
a piano (or guitar)
someone who knows how to play one of the instruments
and get them to go up and down scales (f, b flat,a flat, g, e flat, etc) they will know what u mean.
every time they press a key, try to match ur voice with the sound. doing this with my band director has really improved my singing, so i recommened u trying it. :)

you can take voice lessons where someone teaches you or you can just ppractice. it helps if you have a piano because then you can sing along with it and listen to if your on key or not

Practice and more practice. I've also heard that you should challenge your voice by singing songs that are a bit higher or lower in pitch than you are used to.
