Don't get me wrong, I love all my friends; however, I notice a few people in my life who seem to fear germs alot. They are obsessed either with a clean house or keeping up with every single financial receipts or organizing their shopping cart a certain way. I don't think they're perfectionist because when it comes to school work, they seem real laid back about it...they don't feel they need to be number one. But when it comes to their personal belongings and environment, everything has to be in its place or spotless. I am kinda uncomfortable bringing my children there because everything seems untouchable. Are these type A personalities? How do someone become obsessed with such control in their life? I'm almost concern for them.

It is a compulsive disorder
most likely hereditary.
Your right their house is
untouchable. Not just to
children. Most people
visiting them feel this.
People with this disorder
feel perfectly normal. They
see nothing wrong with their
behavior. Only counseling
can help them to (relax) change.

Well, you can learn at least two things from this situation: the predictive value of astrology regarding personality types, and how to be understanding and compassionate.

Two of the more neat freak types are virgos and capricorns--they are very much into order and control. Do a bit of reading in the astrology area, in depth, not just the sun sign stuff. And, perhaps, get your "chart" done.

You'll be amazed how accurate the "art" is. Of course there are some folks who believe that astrology is "the work of the devil". This is not the case. But, nevertheless, they are entitled to their views and beliefs.

Next, compassion and acceptance of the right of others to hold differing views: Astrology will help you to understand just how different we all are, one from another. And, others, quite sincerely live in an entirely different "reality". That is their privilege and should be respected. When all people understand this perhaps there'll be less violence on the planet.

Dont be concern for them and they are not type A, they are organized in a certain ways and just want their belongings and environment to remain the way it is maybe more obsessed than others but they must be happy with that, be more concern about your children touching other peoples' belongings unless they got permission from the owners, maybe you should not even bring along children to places like that if they are not invited. Unless they are meddling with other people's lives and belongings, who are we to say that our lifestyles are more normal compare to them?

I think that it is a little bit on the weird side but it is actually okay to like having a clean house.People usually become like that because their parents were neat freaks too or because their parents were the opposite of that well where they were messy and they didn't feel the same way about how to keep their house clean.

Not Type As. A Type A personality is hyper, go, go, go! Always achieving or reaching to achieve.

Neat freaks are probably trying to control what they can in their lives, maybe because there are some other things that they can not control.

It sounds more like obsessive-compulsive disorder to me. There are certain things in their life that trigger certain behaviours. I would suggest these people see a doctor to see if their behaviour can be controled in any way. Unless they like living that way!

It's called obsessive compulsive disorder. Sometimes it is from trying to , but never being able to please parent. So these people continue on into their adulthoods always trying their best at everything, hoping someone will notice all their hard work. My hubby has ocd, and so does his mommy.

It could be that their "quirks" help them deal with bigger problems that you don't want to know about.
