Sorry to sound like a snob but... if anyone knows anything about film as an art Taxi Driver is one of the most beautifully terrifying films I have ever seen. Scarface is just a good genre film. I don't think you can even really compare the two. It would be like saying what is better 2001 or The Matrix? On is a piece of art the other is just a movie.

Scarface was the better movie taxi driver was an OK movie but Scarface was way better

i go with taxi driver because it's underrated and Scarface is overrated. most people only love Scarface now because some rappers advertise it all over the place. ha ha but it is a good movie. i just prefer taxi driver.

and i presume you eman the scarface with al pacino, not the (1937?) original
im going w taxi driver, and its so hard to choose cuz i love both and own both movies, and the reason is, cuz scarface is a remake, but its still agreat film
scarface is a great film abotu the problems with excesses, going way to far
taxi driver is a wonderful representation of how society discards and corrupts people,a nd who even the lowly can eb viewed with honor and revernace even when its misguided. great acting by de niro in that

Scarface due to its popularity today with the younger generations. The same moral drama exists today vs. 25 years ago.

TAXI DRIVER! oh so cool, i really like the acting of Mr. Robert De Niro--just superb. The part where he dont know no more, just move me hehehe and look how chic Ms. Cybill Sheperd is... also Jodie Foster!? I like her eyeglasses, what can i say!?
