Got an abortion yesterday. I asked one question like I was keeping my baby to keep a pro lifer of my back. I do not have ANY feelings of regret for those of you that say I will. Anyway is it safe to play sports now? Ice skating,soccer and softball. If not how long do I have to wait?

Depends on how you feel. I had an abortion at 17 and I was sore for a few days. Just watch your bleeding. If you start to bleed more, back off a bit. Your doctor will tell to take it easy for 6 weeks.

YOu need to wait at least a week, i would think. Call the place thayt you had the abortion at and ask them. They will know best. Also it depends on how far along you were when you had it. The further along the more tearing and amount they have to take out so you can have cramps and bleeding which doesnt make for fun and sports. Relax your body for a bit and heal!! Buy condoms and get on the pill!! YOu dont want to use abortion for birth control. I know you are young but if you ever want to have children in the future too many abortions can damage that chance!!

I too was shocked that a 13 year old would be having sex and be so callous about it. My first thought was that she should keep her legs closed. But, I check out some of her other postings and found out that the pregnancy was due to rape.
I feel for you. I was messed up with depression and bi-polar disorder in junior high and high school. Life can be rough at that age. Please, please, check with your doctor, not people on the internet, as to when you can participate in sports again. And, you should see some type of counselor to help you through your feelings (of lack of) about the rape and the abortion. You might not feel anything now, but numbing yourself just causes the pain to worsen and can lead to major depression. Hopefully, your parents are fully aware of what you've been going through and are there to support you. Keep a positive attitude if you can. My friend was molested at age 10 and has been doing great for these past 30 years! And things keep looking up for her. You will make it through!

The percentage of woman that regret there abortion is high although there are some that carry no feelings whatsoever. But I am doubting your story after having a miscarriage I couldn't do much and after having a baby same thing. Wouldn't you need to rest up or something your body has just gone through a traumatic event.

you need to make up your mind whether you had an abortion or not!! Some of the questions you ANSWERED you said you were keeping the baby and some said you had an abortion. I am starting to think you just like screwing with people. GROW UP!!

ok i got to say it hunnny you are 13..... 13 and already having sex ur still a baby what is wrong with you! no guy is worth having sex right now cause you very well could get pregnant AGAIN and would you want that you can't provide for it so your mom would be and how pissed would she be if my daughter got pregnant at that age i would be so disappointed finish at least highschool or you'll never amount to anything! guys only care about one thing at that age and im sure you guys don't even know how to ahve sex(cause if you did you wouldn't have gotten pregnant)... settle down hunny and stop messing around cause bu highschool you'll be called some bad things and guys do talk to the word will spread just enjoy life and friends and be thankful you don't have a kid now!

it depend what kinda abortion you had their is a pill if you werent that far along which you shouldnt feel anything their is the actuallt surgery type which you should wait at least a week and their is a 2 day abortion if you were further along which might take longer to heal from!! I wouldnt have one but have plenty of friends who have done all 3 types

Should be safe to play sports, but maybe, just maybe, you should avoid sex in the first place at that age. It is quite possible that learning the alphabet is more of a priority then trying to have a kid (be it an accidental pregnancy or not).

Like any medical procedure you should wait at least a week or two before resuming any sports or strenuous activities. Your body is not healed yet and you could begin to bleed heavily. Check with your doctor before resuming any sports.

my advice is to wait a week. my other advice is to keep your legs closed next time. if you can't handle the idea of getting pregnant at age 13, then you shouldn't be having sex. deal with it honey cuz sooner or later you may want a child but can never have one. and i AM 100% pro-choice on abortion but it's children like you who anger people like me. grow up and take responsiblity for your actions rather than dispose of them like a piece of trash.
