I think its pretty obvious Dean is the better mat wrestler. From what I've noticed lately Benoit has been relying on more higher impact moves then actual mat wrestling. Not that there's anything wrong with that, he's still the best wrestler in the WWE. But Dean was also pure and solid on the mat even in the cruiser weight division in WCW while all the other guys were flying around (Rey, Juvi, Ultimo Dragon, Kidman and even Jericho and Eddie to a certain point), Dean was always taking you back down onto the mat with actual wrestling holds. Benoit focuses in more on suplexes and is the more complete package though, as he able to go a little more hardcore if needed and has the "better wrestling look". I guess my answer is, mat, Dean, overall, Chris. Good question though, for sure.

Well, Benoit had the better career, by far. But that could also be because America didn't know who Dean Malenko was until 1995, when he was 35 years old. Both are excellent wrestlers but I think Benoit has a better legacy.

Dean Malenko was probably the better technically of the two, however Benoit is an overall better package. Benoit has the better look, and has the most charisma and to me sells a little bit better than what Malenko did. Benoit should be one of the greatest WWE champions in history, but because Vince doesn't like technical wrestling and most WWE fans seem to prefer pieces of crap like Batista and Cena to real wrestlers like Benoit, he has never been given the respect he deserves. It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach.

That's a tough one... both renound for their technical wrestling abillites & submission moves.
Chris Benoit had a better career, winnig a World Titile, & most of the titles in WCW & WWE, plus an ECW career too. he has also proved to be extremely popular due to the fact that he wrestles from his heart & passion for the wrestling buinssness
Deam Malenko is more renound for his deadly arsenal of submission moves, making commentators dub him "The Man Of A Thousand Holds", didn't win as many championships as Benoit, but is still well known enough to be recognized for his ability
As competitors I say both are equal

Beniot is far better. The biggest thing is that he still wrestles today. His moves are far better, once the triple-across the face is locked in it's near impossible to break it. Now Dean Malenko, wait I don't know who that is! sorry but I didn't watch wrestling back in those days. I was like 4 years old then.
