Me and my ex were together for four months. We were each others first loves. He went on vacation for two weeks and when he came back he told me half of him still loves me but half just wanted to be friends. So I said fine, I just want him to be happy, so we broke up. Even though he said we would be friends he no longer talks or looks at me. It's been two months since we broke up now. We have mutual friends and a class together. It's hard because I will be standing right next to him and it's like I don't exsist. I'm not going to ditch our friends, and neither is he. I use to try and talk to him, not about anything big, just nice small talk, but he seemed annoyed that I was doing so. I use to wave, say hello, but nothing. Now I've just started ignoring him back, he obviously wants nothing to do with me but are things always going to be like this?

Yes, otherwise you will never have closure. Sounds like he either found someone else on vacation, or he thinks you found someone else while he was gone. Maybe someone told him a lot of lies. It happens, has anyone been hanging all over either one of you since the break up? they may be the ones who caused the problem. Ask him! Text or email him & ask him which one it is, him or you.

Well it was nice of you to give him his wish of the half of him not wanting you any longer. I think he just used that as an excuse because he didn't want to reveal the real reason.

It also sounds like you have tried to be cordial with him and he is not interested in responding (which also makes me think there is more to it than just 1/2 of him not interested now). I think you should just forget about him and focus on yourself and connecting with your friends and creating stronger friendships. You will be a better person for it.
