My ex-bfriend picked up our 7 month old today 2 hours late and proceeded to call me a slut, whore--etc... He then pulled out of the driveway then pulled back in and grabbed the babe in the carseat from me and tried to hit me. He put the babe in his truck and I tried to stop him but was so afraid. He went to his mom's so I know the babe is safe. We are not "young" we are both 35. I really don't know what to do. He wants me back which is why he was upset but I am thinking of a restraining order or an order to meet at the police station to tranfer the babe. I hate this. Is this domestic violence?

He called me today and apologized saying he is stressed out. He wants me to meet up with him tonight--not happening--why are guys like this? If he is done he is done--keeps coming back after treating me like s***.

just because he is stressed out it is no reason for him to try to hit you, things didn't work out in the relationship and he will have to learn to accept it, it doesn't mean he has the right to get physically violent since you don't want him back you have a right to live your life, he has a right to be in his child's life and all that can be arranged by a third party at a location chosen by you, but do need to get a restraining order against him so that he will not have the chance to potentially harm you again....

Get a video camera, or camera phone, preferably one with sound & have a neighbor ready to film when he comes over, then take it to the judge & show him how he behaves. It sounds like he thinks you cheated on him & is very hurt by it so he lashes out at you.You may want to call the law & tell them how he is acting & have the law there with you when he comes to pick up the baby or whatever, so he will behave. That way you can tell him what you have to say with protection there with you. Be nice & talk normally no matter how mad you get keep your cool, so the cops will stay on your side. You can always arrange to meet him in a public place where maybe he will behave.
