becouse if so, than can you tell me why Squall Leonheart from Final Fantasy viii changed his name to Leon?

I think the answer to that is in Final Fantasy X-2 there was a guy called leon and i think that was squall leonheart and it was because he was an assain and so no one will remember him. I think he was an assain, well he tried to kill yuna i know that.

The story line is that Sora wants to rescue his friends Kiari and Riku and the reason Squall Leonheart changes his name is so people can pronounce it easier.

After Squall's homeland got destroyed, he survived and found King Mickey. He then changed his name to Leon to serve under the King.

well kingdom hearts has a very complicated story line. ur not really supposed to understand it i think. they may explain everything in the 3rd. that is IF they make a third one
