So that after they raise, feed and educate the child, the kid's parents don't suddenly crawl out of the woodwork and say they want their children back, then sue the parents for not raising them in their religion or for not doing some other thing else.
By adopting from overseas and publicising it, they bring alot of attention to the plight of children born into countries where their governments do not have the know-how /resources to do anything positive to improve the situation for them.
Either way, Angelina is giving something back to society, she is helping a child who otherwise would have had very little hope of a bright future, what does it matter which country she adopts from?

She obviously could care less about the children here. There are some celebrities who have adopted from the US, Michelle Pfeiffer,Rosie O Donnell,Sharon Stone, Jennifer Aniston and Queen Latifah have both said they will adopt American children-I applaud these ladies for caring about our own.

Apparently it's much easier to adopt from a foreign country, as they don't have nearly as many laws and regulations surrounding the adoption process, so if a Hollywood A-Lister wants a baby right here right now, it would be easy for them to get one. Also, they might just want to save someone suffering more than a US child, or to be seen as caring for other countries, thus giving themselves some good publicity.
OR maybe they couldn't be bothered to buy fake tan for the babies so they'd match their mums, so they got them in the desired skin tone already?

We talked about this in my Social Problems class and a lot of people spoke up about relatives who have tried to adopt here, and according to them they're really picky about who they allow to adopt kids and it's a long process. That could be a reason why, but I do wish more celebrities would adopt kids from here.

Adopting an American child just doesn't have the publicity value.

Two reasons: Lack of bureacracy in those foreign countries (money talks), and no chance the mother or some other family member will show up on her doorstep in a few years begging for money or to be reunited with her child.

I guess cause it's easier. Though I do wonder why she adopts so quickly after having a baby or right after adopting another child.

it's her money, it's her life and she wants to adopt from over seas. That's her perogative. She is still helping mankind. You can adopt children from the US if you chose. Why do i think she chose to adopt from over seas? You'll have to ask her

because unlike children in america with all the foster care and medical care, children in many parts of the world are 100% hopeless. they have nothing to hope for, no one will feed them coz their parents are starving too. the poorest child in america can afford to go to school coz guess what, its FREE!
it a personal choice and i don't see anything wrong with it. instead of dividing the world by political borders shouldn't we be more concerned in looking out for all children of the world regardless of nationalities, race or religion!
