It my left foot. The bone on the outside at the top. The ligments or tendons, whatever they are, hurt. It has been sore for probably 8 months. Anyone had this. Does it require surgery. I broke my ankle on that foot about 16 yrs ago. I have weak ankles too. I have not been to the doctor about this. Help please - worried a surgery will be involved.

Go see doctor and ask him if you have the surgery if you can have a private room to recover and it will be a couple days off from your children. Get a TV and a few books you are rocking.

By going to the doctor, you may find out you don't need surgery and have been suffering for nothing. You have given it eight months to heal...it hasn't. Are you willing to suffer the rest of your life to avoid a surgery with a short recovery time? Go. Go now.
