yeah i was wondering when u go in for a lay up can u like push guys out the way with ur body? is that how short people get lay ups in when theres a guy by the hoop?

You can as long as you don't elbow them, and as long as they aren't in defensive stance.

No matter what your size, you can use your body (no limbs) to push players out of your way while making a lay-up. You have seen the arc (in NBA) around the bottom of the baskets, right? If your opponent is inside of that arc, and you push him hard enough, you'll get charged with an offensive foul. If your opponent is outside of the arc, he'll get charged with a blocking foul.
If you're playing a pick-up game at the gym/park, it depends if who you're playing with are cry-babies or not.

You can not use your off arm to push off the defender and you cannot lower your shoulder. Smaller guys use many different ways to get the ball in the hoop depending on the situation.

go ahead but don't lower ur shoulder unless ur in the restricted area (the mini-arc in the paint-in case u didn't know) no charges can be called in there

I use my body to clear them but dont lower the shoulder that is charging unless is street. but yeah use your body you have to make contact first soo it would be easier to get the shoot off

Depends on if they fall to the ground or not. Usually charging would be called.
