She opposes being too thin, which is vastly different than supporting obesity.

She's not supporting obesity per se. What she is saying is that having some meat on the bones is not a bad thing. It's really sad to see models walking the runway looking as if they are nothing but skin over bones. Their eyes are shallow and they look as if they won't make the trip to the end of the runway. It's nasty looking and I can just imagine their medical bills. Kidney and heart failure is not a good experience. Why invite that at such a young age? A body falls apart on its own over time. I don't see the merit in destroying one's own body before its time.

She's not supporting obesity. She is saying you should love herself no matter what size you are. And that you don't have to be skinny to be beautiful. Because the whole anorexic thing is getting out of hand. I mean, to call an average-sized person like Tyra fat...please! 160lbs is not fat at all, especially for someone her height.

She is not supporting obesity. She is not fat either. It is ok for people to be a little bit bigger and not look like a bag of floppy skin and bones. The ideal of what is beautiful in our society is extremely twisted and wrong. Almost all "hot" people are rude, arrogant, and the ugliest people in the world on the inside. Wait until they get old because they are the ones who really turn out nasty. God will get you!!!!

I haven't heard anything about this. I hope you are not confusing her trying to help people realize that skinny is not the only thing that is beautiful. I think she looks great since she gained weight, and she is in NO way obese. I think she is great for standing her ground, not becoming a discusting toothpick.

Right. She should cut the crap and start supporting anorexia like all the other models!

Why do you think she's supporting obesity? Is she supporting BEING obese, or just supporting people in their quest for a healthier lifestyle? Too thin is just as dangerous, or MORE dangerous than being overweight.

Don't you realize that emaciated people suffer sugar problems, kidney failure, heart failure etc... JUST like obese people? I get it. It's just more attractive and fashionable to die from a heart attack caused by starvation, than from being obese.

Shes not supporting it. She's supporting self esteem and the ability to feel beautiful no matter what, but I can see what you mean. Maybe she is going a little overboard, but oh well, what can we do? Type more and more answers or questions.

She can do whatever she wants though in a way...

i dont think that she is supporting the fact of being obese, i think that she is just helping them, with their weight problems. and that she is trying to get other people not to make fun of them.
