I am traveling from Chicago to Kathmandu and I have a 15 hour stop over in Delhi. Will I need a transit visa or other visa at the Delhi airport. I am planning to stay inside the airport during this time.

Better get one anyway, and make sure it covers your return trip as well.

This will probably not help you very much, but lemme lend you my experience.
I traveled from US to Guam, with a layover in Tokyo, where I did not need to leave the airport. They required my passport, still. I never had a need for a Visa.
But where you are going you might need more than a passport. Sorry this doesnt help you much :-P

no. you will not be allowed out of the international area of the airport but you do not need a visa to be there.

yes you will need a regular visa while you are there when you unload and for when you re-board the plane so that they can check your information.
