I think if there was no war the middle east would have attacked us immediately and the USA would no longer be free and would be a war country. Is that what people want? For them to take us over and just give them our homes and freedom????? It's so irritating! President Bush is not 100% to blame for our economy.....blame the abuse of public assistance, blame the lack of morals in America, blame the people who refuse to educate themselve or work. Sorry, I'll get off my high horse now, I just really want to know what people think about these things because that is how I view it. PS- PLEASE no comments on how republicans are stupid, blah, blah, blah and no more stuff with the conspiracy theories....they're played out.

So far I appreciate everyone's input, however I find that I have taken a ton of backlash over asking this on YA! If you look through this I have been compared with Saddam, been called stupid and asked if I have a brain. Yes, obviously I have a brain and thank you for showing your ignorance. Just because someone's opinion differs from your own does not give you the right to disrepect them. I did want to post what some of you have asked about WMD....how do we know that they weren't destroyed prior to us arriving or that they are still hidden? We don't, so that could go either way. I DON'T live in fear and I do not think for one second the President Bush has compromised my feelings of freedom. You do not know me, do not tell me how I feel about my own freedom. About immaturity.....just because you have more years of experience in politics does not mean you are right or wrong. There are people with more experience than you that believe the same way I do. This just turned into more bashing

i am not necessarily a fan of bush, but i know what you mean.
the liberals still haven't recovered from the 2000 election of bush. they were looking forward to the continuation of the clinton years.
bush's election shattered their dreams of america bowing down to the UN and forfeiting all power to them.
when bush won again in 2004, liberals anger rose to certifiable levels and they have been on the attack ever since.
bush has become their whipping boy for everything that goes wrong anywhere on the planet. 9-11, the tsuami, hurricane katrina, the economy, global warming, you name it.
the liberals want one thing and one thing only. to regain power. this endless slamming of bush is their method of doing it.

If someone from the Middle East had attacked us, we could have annihilated them, right? But there is NO reason, other than irrational fear, to think that was going to happen, especially any time soon. Remember that the countries in the Middle East are small and have relatively little money compared to us--with all the money in the world and a huge military.
So no, I was not concerned that someone would attack us, and if they had, it's pretty much impossible that "they" would have taken us over and taken our homes and freedom. You don't say how old you are, but with all due respect, this seems like something a young person may worry about who doesn't yet have a seasoned perspective about the world we live in.
The truth is that Bush is the worst president we have ever had. If you had worked in politics for 40 years as I have and lived through many different administrations, you would have a context in which to judge him. He is simply not a good president, and history will judge him very harshly. His egregious mistakes and bad policies will take our country decades to recover from. I do not consider this "bashing" Bush, but an honest assessment of his administration for the past six years.
The economy IS his responsibility because he sets economic policies and appoints the people who are in charge of it. Also, war affects the economy, as do tax cuts, corproate welfare and so forth. We had welfare reform for poor people during the Clinton administration, so I would wager that "abuse of public assistance" has gone way down and in any event would only be a tiny percentage of these other economic factors. The government gives billions of dollars in corporate welfare, for instance, huge subsidies to oil companies who are making 4 and 5 times the amount of profit they were making just a few years ago. Worry about that welfare!
Is it possible that you are only hearing one side of these stories by limiting the media you expose yourself to? I urge you to do more research in a wide variety of media outlets and then make up your own mind about economic, political, social and moral issues. Good luck!

I think everyone knows we will be fighting with the middle east in some sense or another for a very long time. We have fundamental differences with them and there are factions there that have vowed to kill Americans. The biggest problem with Bush is his inability to admit his own shortcomings. 9/11 was a sign of a new kind of war, one without the traditional boundaries of statehood and would have been a difficult "What next?" for any president. We don't have the ability to police all the areas of the world in which terrorists lurk so we need a new plan. We are facing a compromised future but one Bush seems not to acknowledge nor understand and that is frightening.

If that became the case, then she could have been interior the scientific institution a protracted time in the past with a similar concern. I do experience nevertheless that the main important pass media are being very very bias and regrettably, it shows. you could seek for the thoughts working example, that between the networks did on Michelle Obama, and then in a protracted time Cindy McCain and analyze the two to be certain that bias first hand. With Michelle Obama they suggested how super she is as a mom, and each style of different "positives", on a similar time as interior the Cindy McCain tale, they dug up any and all negatives that they'd locate. Very one sided and extremely unhappy.

Bush went into war first claiming WMD. After all these years, no WMD was found.
Who are they that you understand take us over? What basis is such assertion made? Pray tell.
Republicans are not stupid, neither are Democrats. The politicians do not get there because they are stupid. No, they are not. We the voters are. We voted them in these leadership positions. So, we should blame ourselves.
For our economy, why are we so much in debt? We have control over ourselves, don't we? Why do so many of us live beyond our means? We are to blame.
Until we take our own responsibilites seriously, blaming Bush or anyone else ain't going to make us better.

That's right, lets rationalize why Bush should not be accountable for ANYTHING he does! That sounds a lot like Saddam to me!
You can think all you want of WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED! But one thing is for sure, if it did it wasn't going to be the Iraqis!
If Bush had done his job, and the Republican Congress had passed the Anti-terrorism legislation in 1996 that Clinton wamted, we might not have had a 9/11! Then again, maybe we would have had one anyway!
Bush IS TAKING your freedoms! Does it matter who does it?
Abuse of public assistance? Are you talking about corporate welfare as they are abusing the system a million times more than everyone else combined, 3 1/2 TRILLION worth!
You are as unwilling to blame Bush as Bush is to admit he ever made a mistake!

I would love to know who from the Middle east was going to come over here and take over, and how Bush has prevented it!!
President Bush HAS worked very hard to get the wealthiest 2% of our population to have an ever-smaller tax burden (at our expense) and he HAS worked to prevent the government from negotiating with pharmaceutical companies for any discounts on huge bulk purchases (also at our expense).
In fact, Bush's entire agenda has been to redistribute wealth UPWARDS, again, you guessed it, at our expense.
He has also radicalized a huge number of Arabs and Muslims to enmity with the US, and has increased terror several hundred fold since he launched his "war" on it. War is a notoriously profitable racket as long as you are a member of the top 2% and not a member of the fighting class.
But as far as this Arab invader theory of yours goes, I'd advise you to rethink or at least reformulate it before you write too much about the "people who refuse to educate themselves", because there is no evidence whatsoever that any kind of invasion was imminent or even planned at all.

And if Bush is so great, why did attack the only country NOT harboring Al-Quada and why did we not START kicking *** with Saudi Arabia?

Your mind control program is almost complete. The USA has the most powerful military in the world. period. The American military has increased that threat by being involved in Iraq.
Think about it... How would they even get here to fight? Use their massive navy to invade the US. Please spare me.
What will they do, take over all the comerical flights armed to the teeth to kill us Americans? please spare me.
oh I know, they would have attacked the USA with their amazing Air force. sending wave after wave of Airborne Jihadist to attack the third largest population in the world.
or better yet, they would get on their camels and horses and start a huge whirling dervish, and send the ultimate destructive dust cloud to suffocate all 300 million Americans.
And this attack would all be directed from a secret CAVE from Iraqistan or Afgani Arabia
Give me a break, Go spread your fear somewhere else. You and people like you are the real threat. You react to unrealistic fears, have our leaders pass laws that restrict our freedoms and rights. and then blame Foreigners for all YOUR problems.
You want someone to blame? go look in the mirror.
I know I've come across a little strong, but you have a brain? please use it. Don't be mislead by people who want you to live your life in fear. You don't deserve to live in a life of fear. Do you?
Good luck and God bless you and your family.

We have never been part of a plan by Iraq to attack us. We had no right going there. The President has already taken some of our freedoms, the Arabs won't have to,
With regard to conspiracy theories, the Republicans have created every one that I have seen.
