Most babies are bowlegged until they've been walking upright for several months, so usually sometime between 18-24 months. They usually straighten out a bit around then. If it looks abnormally bowed, have the doctor take another look at it, or get a 2nd opinion.
Best of luck!

most babies look bowlegged at birth and even for the first 2 years. it's from being crunched in that womb or so my pediatrician says. i asked the same question. when they start to walk they will walk bowlegged too. it looks like they just got off of a long horse ride. it's ok but if you're that worried call your doc.

I figured God made them that way to make diaper changing easier. Really seriously, its very normal for babies to appear bowlegged , at the well baby check up the Dr will check the leg development to make sure they are straighten out correctly if not he will be quick to let you know. Until then do not worry over every little thing.

All babies look this way at birth and for some time during infancy. It's where they were cramped up inside the uterus and that's how the legs shaped in order to fit inside. As they grow and begin to stretch out some, it will go away.

Your legs would be bowed too if you just spent nine months folded like a burrito...lol. Seriously though, it's normal and will correct itself usually in the first few months. My son's legs were bowed until he was 18 months old, the doctor told me they only worry or do anything about it if they are really bowed, cause problems walking or don't go away 1 year after they start walking.

Yes, It usually goes away. My daughter had to wear bar's for 3 months or longer but when she was laying on the floor her feet would be right next to her behind. I have a new niece and hers are that way.

Yes. My oldest child had casts, my second just needed physical therapy (that I was taught to do) and the baby had crooked legs too. The doc would not listen to me and said he'd outgrow it. I finally fired her and the new doc immediately sent him to an ortho guy- he wore braces up to his hips for a year.
All of them are fine.
If they don't listen, ask for a second opinion.

My baby would put his feet together like he was praying, but it is from being cramped inside the womb. It usually fixes itself after they start walking.
